Long menstrual cycle in normal period means get pregnant?

Long menstrual cycle in normal period to show the possibility to get pregnant. Every month, the body of adult women prepares itself to have pregnant possibility through a line of changes. Such line of change is namely long menstrual cycle. If the woman is not pregnant, a basic cycle is able to last from 21 days – 35 days. The cycle of the menstrual will be ended with bleeding of uterus lining. This bleeding is commonly called as a menstrual period. The first cycle of menstrual for a young woman is about at the 11 – 14 years old. For the women within 39-51 year old, they might have fewer menstrual periods. The menopause average age is about 50 years old when the time of long menstrual cycle.

Day 1 – Day 5

If the woman is not getting pregnant, the old tissue of uterus lining which has been dead sloughs off. It means that the menstrual cycle is starting. The bleeding in the first day is the start of long menstrual cycle. The women’s cycle will not end until the next period starting. So, for instance, if the first day of the menstrual cycle is 1 February, the cycle is not ended until the first day of the next menstrual period that could be started on 28 February. Within these days, the progesterone as well as oestrogen hormone level is low. The temperature of body is between 96 and 98 degree F.

Day 6 – Day 7

The structure on the brain which serves as regulator for internal organs along with controller of pituitary gland is namely hypothalamus. This part is releasing a hormone namely GnRH or Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone. This hormone will send a message to pituitary in order to release a hormone namely FSH or Follicle Stimulating Hormone and LH or luteinizing hormone. This long menstrual cycle step is the cause of the follicles or eggs from the ovaries begins to grow. When the egg is growing, those will produce the oestrogen hormone. On the other hand, the progesterone stays low.  And the mucus of the cervix is dry.

Along the first-half of long menstrual cycle fertility, the level of oestrogen hormone is increasing. The lining of uterus in the womb will be getting thickened as well. While the uterus lining is growing, the egg in the one or both ovaries gets matured. The ovaries are the place where eggs are produced and stored.

Day 8 – Day 11

The release of oestrogen is increasing. It will cause the uterus lining become thicker. Then, it will generate more supply of blood liners. This preparation is actually to get ready for receiving an egg which has been fertilised. On this step of long menstrual cycle, the level of LH and FSH is decreasing. Besides, the mucus is getting wet combined with sticky, whitish/yellowish and cloudy secretion.
